Signing of the free trade area with the European Union will give impetus for the development of vegetable processing industry, agrarian policy and food minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk told journalists during the press tour to the largest vegetable store in Europe, ForUm correspondent reports.
"The signing of the free trade area with the EU is an important issue for us, for farmers. Because it is a very important strategic step that will stimulate the development of processing industry in the agricultural sector," he said.
The minister also promised a state support for this industry. "As of today, Ukraine has a great potential in the processing industry, and this is the next step that will be performed on its own, but of course with the state’s support," Prysiazhniuk concluded.
