In 2013 the dollar exchange rate will not have significant fluctuations in Ukraine, economist Oleksandr Okhrymenko told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

"We will not have a collapse, there will be no 9.5 UAH per dollar and 10 UAH per dollar. Although I understand that there are many people who, unfortunately, bought dollars for 10 UAH. As of today, 8.40 UAH is the highest point to which dollar can grow by the year-end," the expert said.

In addition, Okhrymenko expects the market of bank loans to revive in 2013. "We really have to start acceleration of granting loans from May, and in autumn everyone will say that this is necessary to do something. I want to warn immediately when the number of loans rapidly grows, the inflation rate increases as well. This is a direct dependence, there's nothing to be done," he said.

According to him, this year the National Bank will have to take extra steps not to exceed the inflation rate of 6% estimated at the beginning of the year.
