Six thousand kiosks will be kept in Kyiv and the rest will be dismantled, chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov said during an extended meeting of the Kyiv City State Administration dedicated to the development of entities of green economy of the city, ForUm correspondent reports.

"5.6 thousand kiosks, which owners paid all taxes last year and were placed under the existing regulations, will be kept. All the others will soon be included in the dismantling project, and we will begin a large-scale project on clearing Kyiv from kiosks," Popov said.

According to him, the demolition of kiosks will bring 70 million UAH to the capital budget to. "We expect at least 60-70 million UAH of revenue. These funds will be used for landscaping," he said.

Popov also did not rule out that the number of kiosks in the capital may increase, as now the working group has not yet decided whether bread-baking companies may sell its products through a network of kiosks, as well as what to do with 600 stalls of private entrepreneurs, who did not have time to pay taxes last year because of delays with the paperwork.
