Foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Ukraine Mr. Fabrizio Romano, the Foreign Ministry press service informs.
A wide range of bilateral issues was discussed during the meeting. The parties noted the need to enhance the dynamics of bilateral political dialogue, in particular, at the level of foreign ministers of the two countries.
The diplomats acknowledged the need to enhance economic and trade cooperation. The two parties stressed the importance of the organization in the near future of the 8th meeting of the Ukrainian-Italian Council on commercial, industrial and financial cooperation, as well as a business forum with the participation of entrepreneurs of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the European integration of Ukraine, especially in the context of the signing of the Association Agreement, as well as the liberalization of the visa regime for Ukrainian citizens.
Ambassador Romano informed of the steps taken by the Italian side for maximum simplification of visa procedures for our compatriots.
