Ukraine is interested in resumption of the Turkmen gas supplies, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said after talks with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov in Ashgabat today.
"I have confirmed Ukraine's interest in the resumption of natural gas supplies from Turkmenistan and the willingness to deepen cooperation in this area," he said.
According to Yanukovych, Ukraine has all the opportunities to combine efforts in order to study alternative routes of gas supplies for its own needs and for export to Europe.
