Britain supports Ukraine's course towards rapprochement with the EU, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary the UK to Ukraine Mr. Simon Smith told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
However, the diplomat stressed the need for decisive action and concrete results of Kyiv to fulfill EU criteria set out in the conclusions of the European Council of 10 December 2012 on the reform of the electoral law, the reforms of judicial and law enforcement systems.
"Ukraine has 2-3 months for doing that. We want to see concrete actions of the Ukrainian party," Mr. Smith said.
He added that if Ukraine actively adheres to the policy of integration with the EU, it will help to realize Ukraine’s enormous potential.
"The United Kingdom has always supported Ukraine's European aspirations and the prospects of the Association Agreement," the Ambassador said.
