The decision on visa-free regime between Ukraine and the European Union should be taken this year, diplomatic adviser to the President of the European Parliament Arnoldas Pranckevičius said during the National Expert Forum "Ukraine-2013. Forecast," ForUm correspondent reports.
"Because then there will be elections in the EU and Ukraine. If we lose the opportunity now, the next time will be no earlier than 2016," the expert said.
He added that the visa issues along with others are based on the contact relationship. "The partnership negotiations are being carried out with Russia now. I hope the visa-free regime will be available for all our neighbors, including Russia, in the near future," he noted.
