Currently, there are all preconditions for signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement with in 2013, foreign minister of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara said during the National Expert Forum "Ukraine-2013. Forecast", ForUm correspondent reports.
"We are not the poor relation of the rich neighbors. Our history is not only defeats and disasters. The place of Ukraine is outlined its geography, it is Europe in the broad sense," he said.
The minister said that the European Union is a model of conducting internal reforms for Ukraine. "Association Agreement is a powerful external tool of the internal response. Currently, there are all preconditions for the agreement to be signed in 2013 within the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius," he said.
The foreign minister is convinced that Ukraine will be able to build relations with the West and the East, "in particular with Russia, as our relations have changed for the last 20 years".
"We will resolve the issues with Russia, where there are still differences in approach. We will gradually restore trust, where it has not yet recovered to the end. The first results will be discussed during my visit to Moscow in late March," Kozhara summed up.
