Ukraine’s monthly average wage amounted to 3025 UAH in 2012, social policy minister of Ukraine Nataliya Korolevska said, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the minister, it is by 14.9% more than the year before. The following regions had the highest salaries: Kyiv (4607 UAH), Donetsk (3495 UAH), Kyiv region (3157 UAH), Dnipropetrovsk (3138 UAH) and Luhansk (3090 UAH), and the lowest - Ternopil (2185 UAH), Kherson (2268 UAH), Chernihiv (2308 UAH), Chernivtsi (2329 UAH) and Volyn (2339 UAH).
At the same, the official said that the government made consistent steps to improve wages in the public sector and created the conditions to improve the efficiency of its work. Salaries of the state employees increased by an average of 19.2%.
