This year, Ukraine and Hungary will hold the third session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Hungarian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation. This was discussed during the meeting between the agrarian policy and food minister of Ukraine Mykola Prysiazhniuk and Hungarian Ambassador to Ukraine Mihaly Bayer, the Agrarian Policy Ministry press service informs.

"We have received a positive result after the second session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Hungarian Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation. Therefore, I want to note the need for further bilateral cooperation in the framework of this commission. We propose to hold the next meeting of the Commission in June 2013 in Budapest," Prysiazhniuk said.

According to the minister, for Ukrainian side it is very important to work in the Commission, in particular in its working group on agriculture.

"I would like to note that today the cooperation with Hungary in the field of agriculture is important. In particular, the priority is cooperation in the field of livestock, crops, land use and food industry," Prysiazhniuk added.

In turn, Bayer expressed interest in cooperation with Ukraine in the field of agriculture and thanked for proposal to host the next session of the Commission on Economic Cooperation in summer.

In total, for the 12 months of 2012, the amount of trade turnover of agricultural products between Ukraine and Hungary totaled 246.3 million, which is 49.3 million more compared with 2011.
