Investigators are ready to provide the lawyers of ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko with materials in the case of murder of MP Yevhen Shcherban for reviewing, as soon as defenders are invited by investigators, the General Prosecutor's Office press service informs.
The General Prosecutor's Office noted that the statements of lawyer Oleksandr Plakhotniuk about the alleged refusal of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine to provide him with the case materials within 11 days do not correspond to reality, but indicate lawyer’s willingness to mislead the media and the public.
"The relevant statement by Plakhotniuk, which came into Office on January 29, 2013, was immediately examined and within the statutory period the answer was sent about the possibility of familiarization with the materials of the criminal proceedings," the General Prosecutor's Office press service informs.
