The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established 27 regional offices of the State Emergency Service, the Cabinet’s press service informs.
The departments were formed as legal entities of public law, by merging the regional offices of the Emergency Situations Ministry and the State Inspectorate of Technogenic Security in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, regions, cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol," the government decree № 33 of January 21 reads.
In addition, the Cabinet has decreed that the territorial bodies of the Emergency Situations Ministry and the State Inspectorate of Technogenic Security, which undergo reorganization, shall continue performing their duties till their transfer to the territorial bodies of the State Emergency Service.
The formed territorial authorities shall be the successors of the rights and responsibilities of territorial authorities, which are being reorganized.
