JSC Naftogaz of Ukraine will be divided into several companies on the basis of which a public limited company will be established, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych told the press in Davos on Thursday, the President's press office said in a statement, Ukrinform reports.
"We have almost de-monopolized the company legislatively, and the practical work is now going on - Naftogaz of Ukraine will be divided into several companies based on which a public limited company will be created in the near future," said Yanukovych.
According to him, it will give a new impetus to the development of these companies, promote investment, since public finances are limited.
The head of state also noted that the principle of public-private partnership, which is now used in Ukraine, would promote the development of these enterprises.
