Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Rene Rouquet believes that Ukraine will find its place in the EU sooner or later, he said in an interview with the Ukrainian week newspaper.
"Sooner or later it will find its place in the EU. Ukraine has been a member of the Council of Europe since 1995, and it has been already working with the EU on many issues. We can talk about the perspective of its candidacy after many problems with selective justice are solved. Ukraine needs to show that moves in this direction," the Vice President of the PACE said.
He also noted that democracy is a good lesson for the country.
