A 22-year-old boy opened fire at a cafe in Rivne region, wounding eight people.
According to the Interior Ministry press office, the incident occurred yesterday, on January 14, at 8.30 p.m.
The injured were hospitalized in Vladimiretska central district hospital.
The gunman was shooting through the window. All eight victims, aged 17 to 25 years old, stayed inside the café at that time.
"The police arrested the shooter. Currently, he is staying in a temporary detention facility of Kuznetsovsk police office," the press office informs.
The gunman had used an unregistered shotgun, which was seized and sent for analysis to the research forensic center at the Interior Ministry.
The information about the offense was included in the unified register of pre-trial investigations under preliminary legal classification under Part 4, Article 296 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
