The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified the Convention on international recovery of alimony and other forms of family maintenance.
232 MPs voted in favor of the adoption of the respective President’s bill, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the explanatory note, its aims and objectives are to implement procedures necessary for the entry into force of the Convention on the international recovery of alimony and other forms of family maintenance.
"The Convention creates a flexible universal mechanism to ensure cooperation in the field of recognition and enforcement of the recovery of alimony for children and other family members," the document says.
