The seventh meeting of the Subcommittee on international cooperation of the Ukrainian-Russian interstate commission chaired by the foreign ministers of Ukraine and the Russian Federation Leonid Kozhara and Sergei Lavrov will be held in Chernivtsi on January 13, instead of January 14, as planned before, Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry website informs.

The parties are to discuss the activities of the sub-committees on the fight against new challenges and threats, border and consular cooperation, settlement of regional conflicts in the context of Ukraine's OSCE chairmanship, as well as cooperation in the international arena.

Special attention will be paid to the economic component of the Ukrainian-Russian partnership, in particular, ways of cooperation between Ukraine and the Customs Union.

The Protocol for the Sub-Committee meeting and the Plan of cooperation between the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine and the Russian Foreign Ministry for 2013 are expected to be signed after the meeting.

The meeting will be held in the Yuri Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.
