For 2011-2012, ten people have been killed at the Ukrainian ski resorts, 604 have received injuries of varying severity, deputy head of the State Service for Technogenic Security of Ukraine Oleh Ohorodnyk told a press conference "Security of ski resorts in Ukraine: results of inspections", ForUm correspondent reports.

"Other 762 people have been rescued, including 82 children. These figures reflect a poor work of local authorities and managers of resorts," he stressed.

Ohorodnyk said that during November-December of this year, the staff of the State Service for Technogenic Security of Ukraine has checked the ski resorts of Ukraine. And the results show that the administrative action has been taken against 57 people, and the work of seven entities that exploit pistes has been suspended.

Ohorodnyk advised people to be interested in licenses of the owners of ski resorts, as well as emergency services and medical staff before choosing the ski resort.
