Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed the decree on tasks and powers of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.

The corresponding decree № 731/2012 on some issues of tasks and powers of the Cabinet of Ministers has been published today, on December 24, at the President’s website.

Yanukovych supported the proposal of Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov on ensuring the fulfillment of the Cabinet’s tasks and powers:

First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov has become responsible for the areas of agriculture and food, economic development, trade, social, political, financial, revenues and duties;

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuri Boiko has become responsible for ecology, natural resources, energy, coal and industrial policy;

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Vilkul has become responsible for infrastructure, regional development, construction and housing and communal services. 

In addition, Viktor Yanukovych has signed a decree appointing Olena Lukash as minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
