The bill on introduction of the tax on foreign exchange transactions is primarily directed against currency speculators, Yuri Horshkov, head of the NBU department on currency frauds, told a round table, ForUm correspondent reports.
"Together with other initiatives considered by the National Bank, we expect to remove completely the unfair speculative component from the Ukrainian currency market. Then the hryvnia rate will show the real economic situation," he noted.
Horshkov also focused on the fact that the ordinary citizens will not have any difficulties after the introduction of this tax.
