More professionals and the public should be involved into the work of the Constitutional Assembly on the improvement of the of the Basic document of our country, President Viktor Yanukovych stated during the presentation of credentials to the ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of foreign countries, ForUm learned from the President’s press service.

"We are convinced that with the help of the Constitutional Assembly we will be able to attract the widest possible audience to the constitutional process, of course, including politicians," he said. He added that it is important for political opposition to participate in the process.

"We are committed and will strive to find the widest possible consensus, the political and the public, to find a common solution," he said. The head of state noted that the Constitutional Assembly was created to work effectively on the changes to the Constitution - that is why it involves of the best experts - lawyers, academics, international experts, representatives of the public.

Yanukovych added that the newly appointed ambassadors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the Constitutional Assembly. "If you have a desire to get any information, you will be able to contact the head of the Constitutional Assembly, who will always provide you with any information of interest," Yanukovych said.
