Over the last three years, Ukraine has imported about 50 billion dollar, director of the department for foreign currency reserve and implementation of operations in the NBU open market Oleksandr Dubyhvist said during a round table "Government treasury bonds in foreign currency: analysis of results of the first issue and future prospects," ForUm correspondent reports.

"A dollar in Ukraine is not only a mean for servicing the black market, but it is an investment tool," he said.

The financier also noted that over the last three years, Ukraine has imported about 50 billion dollar.

"Ukraine imported 13.8 billion dollars in 2010, 21.2 billion in 2011 and 16.7 billion dollar for 10 months in 2012. Less than 10% of cash go abroad, the rest remains in Ukraine. Tourists spend dollar mainly in Turkey and Egypt, as Europe uses euro," he said.
