The content of the talks between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund mission is linked to the fact how the IMF estimates the fiscal situation in Ukraine, whether macroeconomic assessment of the future are achievable, and it does not depend on the personality of the minister.

This opinion was expressed by the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova, answering the question of whether the resignation of the Cabinet will impact on the results of the forthcoming talks with the IMF.

"During the talks with the IMF, Ukraine is represented by the head of the National Bank, the finance minister, sometimes by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. Working relations (with the IMF - Ed.) are constant. Some members of the government have changed during the two years, but it has not somehow influenced the content of the negotiations. The content of negotiations is linked to the fact how the IMF estimates the fiscal situation in Ukraine, whether macroeconomic assessment of the future are achievable, and it does not depend on the personality of the minister," Akimova said.

According to her, the format for further cooperation with the IMF is still under discussion.
"When Ukraine and IMF agree on their positions, the program format will be publicly presented. The working talks are going on," Akimova mentioned.
