Director of Ukrainian weather forecast center Mykola Kulbida warns that the next cyclone will bring strong precipitations and frost. The temperature may go down to - 13°. To be ready for the nature's attacks ForUm recommends its readers to follow the weather forecasts and observe simple safety rules.
Car drivers are better to leave their vehicles at home and use public transports to avoid heavy traffic and waste of gas. If you cannot leave your car for any reason, remember five principle rules, worked out by the traffic police. Observe safe speed and distance. Do not maneuver and do not brake very fast. If the weather is that bad that you cannot see a car in front, it is better to stop aside with hazard warning lights on. Use fog lamps or dipped headlights. If you are a foot passenger, wear light clothes so people, and especially drivers can see you even in poor lighting.
Wear warm, but large clothes, which do not hinder movements. Remember about a scarf. In cold days it is better to abandon strict diet and eat meat and even fat: the body needs calories to warn itself. And the most important - go easy on alcohol.
