The Cabinet of Ministries asks the Parliament to support the draft budget for 2013, the first deputy finance minister of Ukraine Anatoliy Myarkovsky said during the meeting in the Parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to him, the final provisions say that "on results of economic development in the first quarter, the government will return to a reassessment of the budget and will amend issues of concern," he said.
In addition, he said that the draft budget for 2013 increases a size of financial assistance paid on the birth of children by 6.8%. The social assistance to families with children under 13 years old can grow by 180 UAH and under 18 – by 360 UAH.
9.9 billion UAH are budgeted to support the coal industry and 19.5 billion UAH for the development of roads. The budget also provides the use of all preferential regimes for agriculture.
Resource of special fund on local budgets will amount to 218.8 billion UAH, which is by 26.9 billion UAH or by 14% more than in 2012.
The draft budget has caused a heated discussion. Head of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn has adjourned for 30 minutes, after which the MPs should consider again the budget for 2013.
