Three Ukrainians, detained on November 16 in Belarus for drinking alcohol in a public place, have returned to their homeland, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dikusarov told a briefing, ForUm correspondent reports.

"They were released on November 26 and returned to their home country by train Minsk- Kyiv," he said.

According to Dikusarov, while detained Ukrainians wrote statements asking not to inform the Embassy of Ukraine of the incident. "Since we received a statement from their relatives, we reacted very quickly. On the same day two of our employees went to prison and dealt with the situation. Yesterday, consul accompanied them from the detention center to the train," he said.
