Energy and сoal industry minister of Ukraine Yuri Boiko, CEO of the Naftogaz of Ukraine Yevhen Bakulin and CEO of OAO Gazprom Alexey Miller held a working meeting in Moscow, the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry press service informs.
The parties discussed issues of strategic and tactical cooperation in the gas sector, the report said.
According to the press service, the issues of the autumn-winter period and the transit of Russian gas to Europe were discussed.
Yesterday, on November26, Boiko said that Ukraine had informed Russia of its intention in 2013 to reduce the import of Russian gas to 18 billion cubic meters from 27.5 billion cubic meters a year. However, the Naftogaz has not yet filed a formal application for the purchase 18 billion cubic meters in the next year.
