The European Union may introduce visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens before the signing of the Association Agreement, the Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Voloshyn said during discussion "Central Europe: supporting Ukraine’s European integration", ForUm correspondent reports.

"The visa-free regime could be introduced before the Association Agreement signing and, on the contrary, the agreement could be signed before introduction," he said.

According to him, the introduction of visa-free regime and the Association Agreement are two parallel processes. "Cancellation of visas for Ukrainians has been never tied to the Association Agreement and vice versa. These are two parallel processes," Voloshyn said.

He recalled that Ukraine should fulfill its commitments to obtain visa-free regime with the EU. "There is a clear set of requirements, which we must meet, in particular, to introduce biometric passports. We’re working on it," Voloshyn summed up.
