Ukraine did not file an application to Russia for reduction of the gas imports to 18 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013, energy and coal industry minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko told journalists.
"We have already voiced a figure to our colleagues," Boyko said answering a question whether the Ukrainian side has informed Russia that intends to reduce the gas imports to 18 billion cubic meters in 2013.
However, he noted that a formal application has not filed yet.
"As soon as we issue our official offer, I think we will get a reaction," Boyko stressed.
