The video monitoring system, used in the parliamentary elections in Ukraine on October 28, will be transferred for storage to regional government agencies. This is stipulated in the order for the use of software and hardware systems and the equipment of the system of video monitoring, video recording and image transmission, which was adopted at a meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) on Monday.

According to the document, the storage of software and hardware systems, after the work of a video monitoring system is completed, is ensured by the Crimean Council of Ministers, regional state administrations, as well as Kyiv and Sevastopol city state administrations, on the basis of contracts signed with the CEC on free, proper storage. The Crimean Council of Ministers, regional state administrations, as well as Kyiv and Sevastopol city state administrations, should inform the CEC in writing about the location of stores of software and hardware systems.

Local government agencies will be able to use hardware and software systems for video monitoring in coordination with the CEC. The equipment of the central server, including network equipment, is stored and used by the CEC within a year from the date of the official publication of the results of parliamentary elections on October 28, 2012 in the mode of the storage of information that was created using this system and in future for its own needs.
