Head of the State Commission for Regulation of Financial Services Markets (SCRFSM) Andriy Stasevskyi addressed chairman of the State Tax Service (STS) Oleksandr Klymenko with a proposal to conclude an agreement on information cooperation between the SCRFSM and the STS.
Information cooperation between the State Commission for Regulation of Financial Services Markets and the State Tax Service is essential for effective state regulation and supervision of financial services and compliance with the law in this area; for prevention and ceasing violations on financial services markets and implementation of a unified state policy in the sphere of tax issues, mandatory payments; for strengthening control over compliance with tax laws by participants of financial services markets.
The agreement will allow optimizing information relations arising in practical activity of both agencies upon receipt, use and storage of the information received, as well as regarding organization and conduct of joint inspections of participants of financial services markets.
Stasevsky stressed that information cooperation between the state services will improve the investment climate and create equal competitive conditions, economic growth, and hence government revenues. Impartial, fair application of the existing legislation, limiting the possibility of corruption, transparency in the work of the regulator will help maintain interests of government and financial institutions.
