Ex-captain of Ukraine Football Team Andriy Shevchenko is flattered by the proposal of President of the Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) Anatoly Konkov for becoming head coach of the national team. However, he has not made the decision yet.
"Yes, the President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Anatoly Konkov proposed me to take the post of head coach of Ukraine," Shevchenko said.
"I am glad to know that I am regarded as a worthy candidate for this responsible and honorable post, entrusting the fate of the national team in the midst of qualifying for World Cup 2014. Realizing the seriousness of the situation, I asked for time to think. I will give response to the proposal of the Football Federation in the near future," Andriy Shevchenko said.
