Minister of economic development and trade of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed with the World Bank a letter of agreement on implementation of the Clean Technology Fund (CTF) grant for preparation of the joint investment project with the World Bank in the field of modernization of heating systems, the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine reports.
Thus, Ukraine will receive one million dollar on a free-of-charge basis.
The grant funds will develop feasibility studies for the modernization of energy efficiency systems in heating utilities of the Ukrainian cities, which in future will participate in the investment project with the World Bank on the modernization of district heating.
The Economy Ministry noted that as a coordinator of training and implementation of projects supported by the international financial institutions, it concentrates all resources on the comprehensive modernization of the heating sector.
