Ukraine is surprised at negative assessments of the electoral process at all stages, made by the representatives of the U.S. Department of State and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
"We are surprised at sharply negative assessments of the electoral process in all its stages made by the representatives of the U.S. Department of State and personally Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. We do not understand on which sources their assessments are grounded, in particular the claim that the official results announced by the Central Election Commission are allegedly contrary to the results of exit polls," the Foreign Ministry press service said.
The report states that international observers have not fixed the systematic electoral fraud in Ukraine, in addition "none of the missions of international observers recorded the attempts to falsify the result of the people's will".
In turn, Clinton expressed concern that international observers were not allowed to be present during the counting of votes in the precinct cal election commissions. "But it was such a legal provision, approved jointly by the ruling party and the opposition. At the same time, Mrs. Clinton also misses the point that the representatives of all the political forces could ensure the count at all levels, including the precinct commissions, which allowed them not be abused in the interests of the opponents at all stages," the Foreign Ministry stressed.
The Foreign Ministry also expressed regret that the U.S. Department of State completely ignores the fact that the opposition parties got about so many places on party lists, as they were predicted by the sociologists.
