The Interior Ministry has received 3.700 reports of violations of the law during the election campaign, deputy interior minister Viktor Ratushniak told a briefing in the Cabinet, ForUm correspondent reports.

"The Interior Ministry receives a lot of reports of violations. To date, about 3.700 such reports were received. All messages are registered and all appropriate checks are carried out. And with all the messages without exception is reply to the applicants. Most reports (1100) were received on violations of illegal campaigning, 664 – on hooliganism, 460 - on the production of promotional materials in violation of the law, 290 – on bribery of voters," Ratushniak said.

However, he said, these are only the messages, and in the course of inspections the officers are to find out whether they are violations actually.

"These are crimes of general criminal orientation. Procedural solutions to these crimes will be accepted by prosecutors. 75 criminal cases have been already initiated. There are theft and hooliganism. These criminal cases are now being investigated. In addition, about 240 administrative protocols have been compiled," the deputy minister said.

He also noted that there have been no applications for holding rallies.
