Issue on palliative and hospice care is extremely problematic from the point of view of the professional and financial components, deputy head of the special care management of the Health Ministry of Ukraine Mykhailo Komarov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
Komarov also noted that the Health Ministry pays attention to the professional component in this issue, in particular, the training of specialists. "Ukraine has created the first chair of palliative and hospice care at the Institute of National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, where the specialists are prepared to provide appropriate medical care," he stressed.
Komarov said that during the work of this chair, 400 specialists have been already trained.
