The law on agricultural insurance forms a consensus among all stakeholders, director of financial and credit policy of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Bahrat Akhidzhanov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
According to the official, the law was a result of the collaborative work of the Cabinet, agricultural companies, insurers and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
According to him, the state budget-2012 allocates 70 million UAH on partial compensation of insurance premiums for one insurance product (winter crop insurance).
He said that the draft budget for 2013 allocated previously 150 million UAH on the state-subsidized agricultural insurance.
