Starting from October 1, Ukraine increases the social standards. According to the law on state budget for 2012, the minimum living wage is set at the level of 1060 UAH. From December 1, it will be increased to 1095 UAH.
People who belong to the basic social and demographic population groups will get the following amount of the living wage for 2012:
from October 1, children under 6 years old will get 930 UAH, from December 1 - 961 UAH;
from October 1, children from 6 to 18 years - 1161 UAH, from December 1 - 1197 UAH;
from October 1, able-bodied persons - 1118 UAH, from December 1 - 1134 UAH;
from October 1, persons with disabilities - 856 UAH, from December 1 - 884 UAH.
According to the law, monthly minimum wage rate amounts to 1118 UAH. From December 1, the minimum wage will be increased to 1134 UAH.
From October 1, the minimum pension amounts to 856 UAH.
