Ukraine considers cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States one of the priorities of its foreign policy, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said, opening the meeting of the CIS heads of governments, the Cabinet’s press service informs.
"I want to stress that Ukraine's cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States is one of the priorities of Ukrainian foreign policy," Azarov said.
In addition, he noted the importance of the FTA agreement within the CIS.
"The agreement will be a starting point for the formation of trade and economic relations between our countries at a new level and a new legal framework," Azarov said.
The PM added that the next step will be a phased implementation and development of provisions.
