President Viktor Yanukovych considers Ukrainian athletes achieved striking results in the Summer Paralympic Games, held in London (UK).
"I congratulate you on this significant victory of our Paralympic team. It was amazing, it was decent, and all that we saw over the period of the competition - was a triumph of our Paralympians," Yanukovych said at the Paralympic champions and winners awarding ceremony.
Yanukovych said that the 4th place of the Ukrainian team in the overall teams ranking is the pride of the country.
He thanked Paralympians for demonstrated results and wished them new victories.
The President also promised to take into account the opinions of champions and winners of the Paralympic Games in London (UK) during the development of the National Paralympic and Deaflympic Training and Rehabilitation Center for persons with disabilities in Yalta (Crimea).
Yanukovych also assured that in 2013, the state budget will provide for the necessary funds for the development of sports for the disabled.
