OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zanner stays in Ukraine with working visit to discuss issues related to the upcoming Ukraine’s OSCE chairmanship in 2013, Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dikusarov informed.

"September 10-11, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zanner is visiting Ukraine to discuss ways of practical cooperation within the future Ukraine's OSCE chairmanship in 2013. Mr. Zannera is to meet with members of the Foreign Ministry working group for preparations and support of the Ukraine’s OSCE chairmanship," he told a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.

In addition, the OSCE Secretary General will meet with the leaders of Ukraine's permanent delegation to the PACE and speak to the Diplomatic Academy students.

According to Dikusarov, on September 12, the working group will hold consultations with the official delegation of Switzerland (chair of the OSCE in 2014) on the future of Ukraine's OSCE chairmanship.

Similar issues will be considered during the consultation with the foreign minister of Finland on September 13 and trilateral Ukrainian-Serbian-Swiss consultations on September 14 will be (Serbia to chair the OSCE in 2015.) Thus, according to Dikusarov, Ukraine has entered the active phase of preparation for the OSCE chairmanship, which will begin on January 1, 2013.
