21 billion cubic meters of gas will be accumulated in the Ukraine's underground gas storage facilities at the beginning of the heating season, energy and coal industry minister Yuri Boiko told reporters.
"We are going according to the schedule. We will have 21 billion cubic meters at beginning of the heating season. This is the same level as it was last year," Boiko said.
He noted that the coal reserves at the beginning of the heating season will increase by 1.5 million tones, compared with the beginning of the heating season last year.
He stressed that Ukraine is pumping as much gas as it is necessary for the economy.
