The mandatory periodic medical examinations of children in schools will be resumed in Ukraine, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, ForUm correspondent reports.

"Parents want us to resume the mandatory periodic medical examinations in schools. I instruct the Education Ministry together with the Healthcare Ministry to study the issue," Azarov said.
The Prime Minister instructed to submit the relevant proposals to the Cabinet for consideration in a month.

"In addition, the parents raised the question of the affordability of different extracurricular clubs. In concerns sports classes, first. We need to look at the validity of pricing and make them free, not only for orphans, but for children from low-income families as well," he said and urged the Education Ministry and the Finance Ministry to set into a matter.
