Foreign minister Kostyantyn Hryshchenko expressed confidence that Ukraine will be able to implement foreign policy priorities, planned for 2013.

"Ukraine is to hold the OSCE chairmanship, to further the EU-Ukraine dialogue, to continue conducting reforms," he said during the ceremony to mark the start of the new academic year at the Diplomatic Academy, ForUm correspondent reports.

In addition, Hryshchenko said that the European integration is the main trend for Ukraine.

Addressing the audience of the Diplomatic Academy, foreign minister urged them to learn foreign languages. "A Euronorm for a diplomat is a thorough knowledge of at least two foreign languages," he said.

Hryshchenko noted there are few Ukrainian diplomats who speak Italian and German, and even the lesser number knows the oriental languages - Chinese, Arabic or Japanese.
