Former interior minister Yuri Lutsenko will be held in a penitentiary institution in the same conditions as other prisoners are, deputy chairman of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine Ihor Andrushko said.

He said that it is not known yet what colony Lutsenko will be sent to. However, Andrushko noted that wherever he may be, the conditions for Lutsenko will not differ from the conditions of the other prisoners.

"I am very far from thinking that we will create some specific conditions," the deputy chairman of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine said.

Responding the question whether the Penitentiary Service will take into account the health condition of Lutsenko, Andrushko said: "The fact is that every convict has specific health condition. If there are complaints, of course doctors will conduct counseling and prescribe some treatment, if necessary".
