Sklyarenko Street in Kyiv was flooded because of wood rubbish, which fell into the bed of Syretsky creek, head of the Kyivavtodor public utility corporation Heorhiy Hlinsky told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.

According to him, a large amount of wood rubbish, parts of which were 80 mm in diameter, clogged the creek.
 
Glinski said that after the forest plantations were cleared in the area of Syretsky creek, trees were not taken so during a rainstorm they stuck the collector and then water went over the top and flooded Sklyarenko Street.

According to him, during the last few days, there were no serious floods in Kyiv.
