In Ukraine, we need to bring the activities of social centers in accordance with the interests of children living with foster parents, presidential envoy for children rights Yuri Pavlenko said at a briefing on "Improvement of monitoring procedures for the rights of children in family forms of upbringing. Cancellation of secret adoption," ForUm correspondent reports.

"Currently, 63 thousand children live with foster parents. Each child should be provided with social support. Meanwhile, only 10% of such children have the corresponding support. This may expose children to a certain danger," Pavlenko said.

The presidential envoy for children rights also noted that he had already appealed to the Cabinet with a similar request.

"I asked the Cabinet to improve the activities of special centers in accordance with the interests of children and support 100% of the families," Pavlenko said.

The official also reminded that according to the social initiatives of the President, the social centers would receive 12 thousand social workers.
