The accident, which occurred today at the Kharkiv-Symferopil-Alushta-Yalta highway, was caused by the actions of the Mercedes bus driver, The Interior Ministry Crimean Department spokesman informed.
"It is established that about 5:00 a.m. in the section of the road in the area of Ahrarne village the Mercedes bus driver violated the traffic rules, resulting in a clash with a GAZ-33021 car moving ahead in the same direction" the report says.
As a result of the accident, 16 people received injuries of varying severity. Six of them got medium grave bodily injury.
The criminal case was opened under the Part 1, the Article 286 of the Criminal Code - violation of rules related to traffic or driving safety by a person that drives any vehicle, where it caused medium grave bodily injury to the victim.
Currently, several expert examinations are appointed under investigation.
