The Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine conducted additional negotiations with the international pharmaceutical companies to provide people affected by HIV \ AIDS with anti-retroviral medicine, ForUm learned from the Healthcare Ministry press service.
Following the talks, the pharmaceutical companies gave the Healthcare Ministry suggestions on their own social initiatives to provide additional medicines. The implementation of these suggestions will allow the Healthcare Ministry to cover nearly 1,800 new patients with additional treatment this year.
The All-Ukrainian Network of PLWH charitable institution supports the outcome of the negotiations: "We are pleased that in this situation, people affected by HIV won. This victory is measured very simply: they will be treated, so – they will survive. A very positive point is that all parties involved in the negotiation process, showed responsibility, prudence and wisdom in this difficult situation. "
