In Ukraine, the fixing of violations on the roads committed by drivers and officials should be equaled at the legislative level, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during the Cabinet’s meeting, ForUm correspondent reports.
"People are unhappy about the alleged ban on video recording of acts of the traffic police officers. Such ban is impossible. On the contrary, the law should equal fixing of violations on the roads committed by drivers and officials. Let's put this matter to the rest," the PM suggested.
According to him, all the decisions of the Cabinet should be coordinated with the public, the experts and the European practice. "We need to think about setting up a public council on road safety and law order on the roads subject to the Cabinet as a permanent advisory body," Azarov summed up.
